A Personal Vision

When I was still in my secondary years, I often noticed the words posted on the walls: Vision and Mission.
I didn't really understand the difference between the two, back then.
But going into a small business had me comprehend the words, particularly by reading business plan templates.
As time passes by I realized that my childhood passion awakens now that I'm in my early 30s. During my childhood years, I wished to be an astronaut or a scientist. I often drew panoramic view of landscape with mountains, trees, animals, dumptrucks, big ships, helicopters, airplanes, spaceships, satellite dish on a remote building, seashores, etc.
The first college course I preferred was B.S. Biology, but I was so persuaded by my relative to pick-up the techie one-computer engineering course was advised to me. Well at that time such was the trend and so popular.
Since college years until now, I'm still fond of electronics stuffs, repairing and project-making. How I love to see flying helicopters, real or remote controlled that led me to buy my own RC Helis of 4 sizes and brands.
Now that I came to realize the need for economic or financial  sustainability. I also feel the need to help uplift people's lives, particularly those in great need. I still feel my childhood passion is still close to it.
I have this personal vision of having my own farm land to till with-providing sustenance to my family and helping less-fortunate ones. Yes, if time permits me to gain enough resources, I would extend help to the poor in my community, I would teach them "how to fish" and not just "give them a fish".
This is it something weird or heroic act for some, but for me- knowing and empathizing these needy people is what everyone should think of. There is something good that comes out from within when one does a good act.
